This work was made together with children.
We braided hemp ropes and made protective amulets while talking and spending time together.
It draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese practice of Hyakumanben Juzukuri (a large communal prayer-bead ritual) held at Chion-ji Temple in Kyoto.
これは子どもたちと対話しながら一緒に麻縄を編んでお守りを作る作品です。
百万遍・知恩寺の大数珠繰り、念珠繰りをモチーフにしています。
